The Director of Medical Information and Scientific Resources has announced the implementation of RFID
technology to smartening the central library. Dr. Yadollah Bahrami outlined
that library automation involves software and hardware to streamline the
library and lending processes. RFID, or Radio Frequency Identification,
enables wireless data exchange between a tag and a reader device. The
system, obtained and installed at the cost of 15 billion Rials, aims to
facilitate automatic book borrowing and returning, as well as to ensure
proper book arrangement on shelves. He also expressed gratitude for the
university Chancellor's support in updating research tools and
emphasized the vision to maintain and elevate the university's research
standing in the upcoming year.
