Key Responsibilities:
- Maintaining and updating computer and network equipment, as well as existing software, to effectively manage equipment information within the units.
- Processing applications for the purchase of computer equipment and conducting thorough investigations to confirm the necessity for such acquisitions.
- Compiling a list of equipment tailored to the specific needs, in accordance with the specifications provided by the IT management, upon confirmation of the need.
- Verification of invoices for technical accuracy, compliance with the equipment list, and price assessment (final price confirmation is the responsibility of the contractor).
- Installation of operating systems, peripheral software, antivirus, etc., on unit computers.
- Diagnosing and rectifying system hardware faults within the scope of provided training.
- Overseeing the process of sending equipment in need of repair (e.g., printers) to external companies and ensuring the quality of equipment repair.
- Identifying and resolving network issues across all computer systems in the relevant center (e.g., IP, network card, etc.).
- Providing and implementing suitable solutions for software problems and system enhancements.
- Liaising with IT management to finalize and renew software support contracts.
- Managing computer networks across different units and facilitating communication between them.
- Providing software training and troubleshooting support for users within the office automation system.
- Configuring the browser, scanner, and printer for the central library secretariat.
- Configuring the network and hardware settings for attendance devices and facilitating communication with the university server.
- Configuring network and hardware settings for the smart door device while specifying access permissions for students, staff, and faculty members for the central library.
- Conducting regular software updates on the devices.
- Periodically creating backup copies of fingerprints and recorded traffic in the devices.
- Handling network operations such as creating VPNs and monitoring download volume and peripheral software, identifying system errors for internet connectivity, guiding unit users to obtain administrative subscriptions, and confirming the need for application forms.
