- Managing internal library activities, such as receiving books from the central library, purchasing new ones, registering and stamping them, arranging and shelving books, archiving pages, and handling internal correspondence with both the faculty and the central library.
Library services are provided under these regulations and guidelines:
- All administrative, educational, and technical staff, as well as nursing students, can apply for library membership through an official form provided by the relevant faculty unit.
- The library operates during administrative hours.
- Students must present their student ID to access library materials, while a library membership card is required to check out books.
- Those working temporarily or as agents at the center are also eligible for membership, subject to the duration of their assignment.
- Individuals not affiliated with the faculty can use the library only with a written introduction from the faculty dean. The introducer is fully accountable for any books borrowed by the introduced individual.
- If a library member’s affiliation with the faculty ends—be it due to graduation, summer break, employment, or retirement—the unit responsible for introducing them must retrieve an official settlement form from the library before proceeding with other business. Otherwise, that unit will be liable for any unreturned books or materials.
- Upon settling their account, the membership card will be canceled.
- Faculty members are required to inform the library about their reference books a few days before the semester begins, allowing the lending department to gather and set them aside in the reservation area.
- Magazines, newspapers, and reference books, such as encyclopedias and works in the humanities, must be used on site and cannot be checked out under any circumstances.
- The head of each educational group may borrow a limited number of books for group usage for one academic semester with the Vice President for Research and Technology's approval. These books must be returned at the semester's end, with the student responsible for their upkeep. Similarly, in hospital settings, the head nurse of each ward can borrow a select number of nursing-related books for their colleagues, also taking responsibility for their condition.
- Students and administrative staff may borrow up to 9 books, while faculty professors and experts are allowed up to 10.
- The borrowing period for books is 25 days. After this duration, members may visit the loan department to request an extension, which is granted at the department's discretion.
- Late returns will result in one week of borrowing ineligibility for each day overdue. Additionally, if a membership card is marked for being late five times, it will be suspended for one year.
- The library retains the right to ask for a book's return at any time, and members must comply promptly.
- Library users should leave personal belongings on the designated shelf; librarians will not be held responsible for items left unattended.
- Any member who loses or damages a book is obliged to replace it. Library staff are expected to cooperate and help maintain the integrity of the library collection.
